Built a new linux box... Ran great for a month or two... last time I went to power it up it showed no signs of life.... no lights blinky blinky, not whirring of fans, nothing, nada, zip, zilch... I assume this means 1 of 2 things, either the power switch (button) on the front of the pc is bad, and not actually telling the PS to turn on, or the PS is actually bad.... So I have to figure out which I guess... Just wondering if anyone can suggest where I can find a trouble shooting decision tree for debugging this problem, and possibly other problems in the future....
Thanks

Power button works by shorting the 2 pins on motherboard. Open case, check where is your power button cable going to, unplug the connector. Short with screwdriver those 2 pins and will see. Otherwise - check all connections, especially from PSU to MB.
Make sure you didnt flip the PSU on/off switch is flipped on. I have done that so many times where the i press the power button on the case and nothing and i looked in the back and the switch is off
