Need Help On My Build

Hello All!

I'm looking to start building my own computer. I'm wanting to build it for mostly heavy gaming. The only issue with this is that it will be my very first build every, so I'm pretty much a newbie when it comes to the whole thing. I've been doing my research though and it seems like it wouldn't be too difficult if I took my time with it and followed everything to a key.

I've already found some parts that I would want in my build but I'm not sure about compatibility. I don't have a clue about what HDDs are good and I do not have my memory selected either.

I am also looking to set up an Eyefinity display down the road. I'm wondering if I should get an I-5 or and I-7 processor? Also would I want to be using two graphic cards or would I be okay with just one? And should I wait and buy all the parts at once, or buy piece by piece?

The evga motherboard comes with an sli bridge; if you want good performance at a more reasonable price, 2 6850 video cards may be adequate; the sapphire in the email promo is about $100 less.

Thanks for replying guys I am still trying to learn all of this. but sosfm would I actually see much of a different in performance between the gpu you selected and the one I chose? I didn't know if there was much of a difference between 3gb and 2gb.

o1die: is seagate a decent brand though when it comes to HDDs? Mainly based on how long it will last and so on and so forth. and unfortunately i'm not too sure what SLI is and what the benefits of having it within your computer would be? I'm assuming that the dual GPUs would give me added performance and a better look on higher resolutions?
