I'd really hesitate to recommend FX because of all the installation and driver issues associated with it. If you go with AMD stick with a Phenom II, if not then go Intel SB.

maybe but not ultra if you are thinking 1080p!a better cpu will do fine.skyrim is not much gpu intensive game.all the best
I see you a lot here. I might want to hold off on the HD 7970 and wait for Nvidia, or just go with the HD 7990 in the near future. What is the cheapest GPU that can play Morrowind on Ultra? Yes, another newb question on a ten year old game LOL, but cheapest would be good because it's going to be a temp card if it's cheap enough
