Change the case with that what i recommended you , it have 3 fans preinstaled you don't need to buy fans. Or this case Tom’s Hardware Recommended Buy http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6811147153 If you want to keep you case buy 2 x 120mm fans and put 1 in front and 1 on top.
If you don't need to speed up your OS or other softwares then you don;t need an SSD. If you want an SSD buy an 64 GB for OS and other software http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6820148441
- As per Sandy-bridge memory controller architecture you won't receive any real improvements using a memory faster than DDR3 1333mhz, unless you looking at synthetic memory benchmarks, AFAIK only Sandybridge-E, AMD FX line and AMD llano line would have real improvements.
This would save about 10 bucks
- This memory do not have heatsinks, and believe, this is good since if someday you want to put a big cooler in your non-OC CPU (not to OC it, but to keep temps lower yet and make less noise) the memory heatsinks wouldn't hit the cooler.

If he is going to go the i5-2400 route, he shouldnt need the coolermaster as he won't be overclocking it much if any.
Don't think that a stock clock cpu doesn't generate heat. Once you start to run heavily threaded apps such as games or video editing, cpu temps can go above 80degree. An aftermarket cooler is quite necessary. The hyper 212 plus is the best price to performance cooler out there at only $30

I agree it is far more beneficial, but since in the OP he doesn't include an OS, I was trying to find a way to cut costs a little to fit one in.
I personally won't go for OCZ psu as they've had many problems according to people who owned them and the same goes for Asrock boards. With this kind of budget, you probably can't max out the witcher 2, but high settings is possible
how much would it cost for a pc to max out the witcher 2? i can probably go to 900-1000$
you can pick the radeon 7950 for $450 and drop the gtx560 ti from the build i posted, it's still below $1000. You can max out everything at 1920x1080 but you'll probably have to disable ubersampling as it can highly impact framerate. or you can go for the gtx570 for around $350
