Hey, this is my first desktop I am going to build. I have found the parts I would like and request some assistance. Firstly here are my prices and parts (I live in Australia). If anyone know any online store (Australian) that would let me get my parts cheaper please reply.

Case: Antec Dark Fleet DF-85 Gaming Case: $176.00
RAM: G Skill 16G(4x4G) DDR3 1600Mhz PC12800 RL 9-9-9-24(CL9Q-16GBRL): $112.50
PSU: Antec HCG-900 900W High Current Gamer 80PLUS Bronze 135mmfan: $155.00
CPU: Intel Core i7 2600K Processor LGA1155 3.4GHz CPU: $326.00
COOLING: Corsair Cooling Hydro Series H60 High-performance CPU Cooler $99.00
HDD: Corsair Force Series 3 120GB SSD: $179.00
Optical: LGE CH12LS28 Black Blue Ray HD Combo Retail: $59.00
MOBO: ASRock Fatal1ty Z68 Professional Gen3 LGA1155 4x DDR3 D-Sub 2x HDMI DV: $253.00
MSI ATI HD6990 4GB GDDR5 PCI-E: $739.00
Total : $2098.50

In relation to these parts, I have several questions.

1. Do these parts all work together (i.e. compatibility, no bottle-necking)?
2. Will my PSU be adequate (I believe 900W is fine, but just checking)?
3. How will I construct this PC (I am a newbie remember :D), are the cables provided with PSU etc.?
4. Are there cheaper prices on other Aussie sites for these parts (I got these of Umart, I think they are good)?
5. Should I change any parts to cheaper parts which are just as effective?
6. My display is an iMac 27" Mid 2010. I am using it as a monitor through DVI. How do I connect the video card (i.e. straight from video card? to MOBO?)?

Thank you for your help in advance!

ANTEC is one hell of a PSU manufacturer, but im not sure about the wattage actually, maybe its a bit low considering that 6990 card!
im using asrock z68 extreme 4 gen 3 and its working not so bad but i always have a bad feeling about ASrock! i prefer gigabyte and asus and my personal favorite brand is Supermicro!

The part is generallly an overkill but it appears that you can afford it. In answer to your questions:
1. All major components ( cpu, gpu, ram ) are top of the line. So no bottlenecking anwywhere & if there is, I doubt if you can do anything more about it.
2. For PSU, go for Corsair 850W HX or AX Series.
3. All connectors & cables should come as part of the bundle of motherboard, PC Case, Power supply & Graphics card. Watch "How to videos" in Youbtube.
4. Can say it. Im not from there.
5. The MSI ATI HD6990 4GB GDDR5 PCI-E: $739.00 -- Is overkill unless you plan to play on triple monitor at Eyefinity. Consider the HD7970/7950 instead. The 6990 have bad reviews of being loud & hot apart from it being an older generation.
6. Straight from the Video Card.
