Toms Hardware & Toms Guide

Well, I am new to toms Hardware, and i've noticed that it is intertwined with toms guide, and they each both have there own separate forums, which apparently
work differently, and are deep linked together. Anyways, I was just wondering if these are actually 2 separate sites that are cooperating together, or if they are owned by the same person or company? Just wanted to say that it's very confusing to me hopping around the sites and the forums like it does, and I was wondering what other people think? It's not so bad hopping between toms hardware and toms guide, but having 2 separate forums is really frustrating to me sometimes. Especially toms guide because I haven't figured out to edit my posts. And most of the time for some reason the back button doesn't work to take me back to toms hardware, so I have to use my bookmarks to get back there.

Not a huge deal, but just though I'd put my opinion out there and see what other people think.
