[Solved] Help me chose my parts?

I know its not the easiest to do, building a pretty nice computer for little money but.....

I have $300.

I have a SATA hdd
I have a ATX case.

I play games, like Counter Strike, and some relatively intense flash games like zombie-assault-3.com

I also am in and out of dream weaver and photoshop. and i often have about 20 browser tabs open...

i dont need some BAD ASS machine, but i desperately need something thats not going to lag me.. i have a Lenovo ThinkPad t61p right now, laptop, and aside from having some issues with the power cord or jack.. it actually does what i need pretty damn well.

i rely on my computer for work and if this laptop craps out im screwed.

I really like things that load quickly.

could anyone help me chose Reliable parts..

typically i go to newegg and view items which have the MOST reviews..

I am totally biased and i often cannot chose memory outside of Corsair.. unless someone can tell me why.. lol i know theres other memory companies that make quality product.. but i need someone else to tell me what this would be..


the only thing i find is important to mention about this is a do need a DVD/CD burner player. combo is fine.. but i guess those are all right at about 20bux..

i feel like a Dual Core or above would be needed..

like i said i usually chose parts by Most Reviews + the ones of 4/5 star ratings form them.. that, i tend to use as a reference for reliability could you please explain to me why you chose the parts you chose for this build?

Thanks Raiddinn, could you comment on the CAS latency on the ram? lower the better right? would it be worth it so spent i think 10bux more on some a 7-7-7 CAS ? if so what model would you chose at 4+gb
