Hello,
I am building a gaming computer right now. Its my first computer that I have built. I have an idea of what I want to use but I want to ask you guys if it will work together. I want to keep it in the same relative price range. My main concern is that things won't work when I put it all together.

Case: Cooler Master RC-932-KKN5-GP HAF 932 Advance Full Tower Case - ATX, Black, SuperSpeed USB 3.0

Motherboard: ASUS Sabertooth P67 B3 TUF Edition Motherboard - ATX, Socket H2 (LGA 1155), Intel P67 Express, 1866MHz DDR3, SATA 6.0 Gb/s, RAID, 8-Channel Audio, Gigabit LAN, SLI/CrossFireX Ready, USB 3.0

Processor: AMD Phenom II X6 1090T Black Edition Thuban 3.2GHz Socket AM3 125W Six-Core Desktop Processor HDT90ZFBGRBOX

Power Supply: COOLER MASTER Silent Pro Gold Series RS800-80GAD3-US 800W ATX 12V v2.3 / EPS 12V v2.92 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply

RAM: Corsair CMZ16GX3M4A1600C9 Vengeance 16GB PC12800 DDR3 RAM - 1600MHz, 4x4096MB, Non-ECC, Unbuffered

Hard Drive: Hard Drive 1TB Sata-300 5400RPM 3.5in

Video Card: Radeon HD 6950

I know I need an optical drive and maybe a sound card, but those aren't my main concerns right now.

First that's not a good choice of motherboard. If you're going Intel there are much better choices.

Second that board won't work with that CPU. If you're using a P67 you will need an Intel LGA 1155 CPU (i3/i5/i7). If you're using AM3 you will need a 990FX board.

I'd suggest filling this out and then we can better assist you: http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/ [...] ild-advice

Agreed the CPU does not match the motherboard.

In addition to the form, you might wish to do a little light reading. Trust me, it will help you in the long run.

Basically beside the motherboard/CPU thing, your errors so far are poor choice of power supply, and you only really need 8gb ram assuming this is a gaming rig.

But don't worry, not bad at all for a first try, and welcome to the forums! :)
