I was thinking about going with the i7 sandybridge but think I might just stick with the i5 2500k. Here are the parts I've selected so far. I'd love to get some input from the community on if you think this is a good build or would recommend better alternative parts for around the same price. Thanks so much!
I'll be using this machine for Video Edits, usual computer work and to play some BF3. Thanks again!
Upgrade to at least a 560Ti to play BF3 at any reasonable settings (if you want to stay nVidia) - also, what's your resolution? I imagine high as you're doing video editing.
The Extreme3 doesn't have an internal USB3.0 header, so the usb3 ports on the front of the storm enforcer won't work. So either drop down a case level or buy the Extreme4, which does have the header. (I just used the storm enforcer for a gift build and loved it, so I recommend the second option.)
Thanks for the input so far guys! I should say my video editing is just for personal videos and nothing extreme. I just edit some video with Windows Movie maker and upload to youtube. So you guys think an AMD card would be better than Nvidea? If so, which AMD card would you choose over the Nvidea for around the same price?
Everything else look good to you guys? I'm hoping the cooling is ok in this setup. I don't plan on overclocking anything but if I do I'll probably need some more than the stock cooler.
No, no reason for the 2gb card. I just assumed its performance would be better for playing Bf3. That's a pretty good price for the card you posted and I'll just take the difference and grab a cheap DVD writer which I forgot to list. Thanks for the cooling tip as well!

It would likely be slightly better at higher texture levels/details - but at good res, the 6870 can't really push those details anyhow. (The 560ti can't really either - you have to get into 6950/6970 or 570/580 to do that.)
+1 to that - also, if you buy the 2500k and the Extreme4 together (they have it for $184.99 as well), you get an extra $50 off - so it's $100 cheaper than newegg for both together. I just was at the one in Cincinnati yesterday.
