Inefficient forum design?

Forum Forum Feedback : TG Forumz - Other Discussions Inefficient forum design?

Word :    Username :

Just decided to join the forums after years and years of reading news/comments...well I might add is it me or does the overall design-layout/speed/ease of use/ of forum is just terrible and seems to be on the level of year 2000? lol

Some questions:
Just seems like everything is way too cluttered, cumbersome, and very hard to find anything( news articles in my case) ? Why don't you guys just use vbulletin or phpbb or something?

Why I cannot edit my posts in tom's guide?

How do I find my previous posts? As user control panel seems to lack any options that would lead me there. Tried clicking on "see all" and it said I got nothing.

Any better search available for forum? The one there makes me cry as it lack many options that would help me filtering out the content I am looking for.

Thanks!

As far as the content contained within the forum, Tomshardware is a gold mine. The most helpful hardware threads anywhere on the internet can be found here.

However, I have to agree with happyballz, using this site is frustrating. In particular, I'd love to know how to see all of my past postings. I've looked for such a feature several times, and I'm starting to believe that there isn't one. It sure seems crazy to me. The only way I know to view my own profile is to click on my username in a previous post. From there it is possible to link to "Access to the whole list of his/her messages." But this should be easily accessed without having to find an old post.

Try to hold out a bit longer, as new forum software is on the way. Hopefully sooner, rather than later.

Can you access TH on your smart phone?

THG is a veritable gold mine but I agree finding the gold can be quite hard sometimes, and the new software should go a long way to helping solve that problem.

If your looking for something in particular there are lots of users here who are keen to help.

I strongly urge you to soldier on and stay because we need more users with happyballz ...

I think that may be the cause of a lot of the world's ill ... sore ballz.

Take good care of them.

If you want to see your threads, make sure the right hand column is showing. Click the middle tab, for your threads. Then click the 'show all' link. That will take you to a page that will show each section. If there are new responses to threads you've posted in, or marked, they will be there. You can also go into each section, and see all the threads you've posted in.

I hope this forum upgrade doesn't turn into Duke Nukem :kaola:

Been hearing about it for a while.

Most definately, not like it's going to kill me.

Just wanted to see if I was not the only one and if something is coming to change this.
