Why does the Forum Management allow the thread closing situation on the Wireless Networking Board to continue to happen?

Surely it reaches the height of stupidity when a thread such as this one http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/foru [...] ty-request is closed, just two hours after it was started. On this occasion, it's clear form the OP's comments that she wouldn't be able to follow the instructions in the post Emerald pointed her to and instead of closing the thread, any Moderator worth his salt would have t least removed her home adress and other personal details from her post and left it there for long enough for ehr to come back.

It's hardly worth posting in that sub Forum any more. There's no chance of Best Answers when no OP can come back to their thread to ask further questions and we simply cannot give a proper service to posters if we don't give them a chance to put in a second post.

In short, I've completely lost all respect for Moderator Grumpy9117 and think it's time something was done to repair this sub Forum. Come on Joe - do you agtree with this policy?

Why are you the only poster complaining about me closing threads that are answered by the first sticky in the sub Forum? I have never had an OP PM me about it. You asked me to post a rewritten sticky which I did. If a poster wrote that he read the sticky first and still had a problem, I would not close the thread. I dislike lazy posters that can't even try to solve their problem before posting. As proof, there a currently 11 posts on the first page in the Wireless Networking forum asking the same question answered by the first sticky.

Seemed to have been answered pretty darned quickly. Pretty much open and shut case.

So essentially, just because a large number of people ask the same question, you don't want to help them. Fine but why not just take the really lazy position and do nothing instead of taking all that trouble to close them. You've closed more than one recently which had additional questions in - what does that tell new posters anout Tom's?
