Hello,
I have an old compaq presario laptop that I have not used in about 8 years. Would like to know how to get it running again. Can't seem to get it to turn on.

That's not much information to go on.

Are you using the AC adapter?
Do you get any kind of display on the screen?
Does it show any signs of life?
Did it even work when you used to use it?

If it's 8 years old, you may not want to put money or effort into fixing it anyways.
