I clicked the link twice. Now when I try and make a new account it says that email is taken.

I inputted my email twice three times now, is what i meant. It says error at the top of the message to cancel the account, and there is an X to "close the window" of the Error notice/message.

Change the email address associated with this account and then you should be able to sign up with a new one using it... hopefully.

It finally worked. It took a while though. About 21 days.

Maybe this post drew soem attention to the situation, or it was a busy season.

Anyways, thank you Tom's Hardware. The change is done.
