Yes!! :pt1cable:
Not enough information! Better for what? If you need DX10, it HAS to be Vista. Otherwise, XP still has a lot going for it.

I am not aware of a single game release that NEEDS dx10 - so Vista offers nothing...

I've always hated XP and ran 2k right until the beta of vista came out. Never looked back.

@ crooktown: You'll never get a definite answer to this one. A lot of the answers will be down to preference. XP runs better on older hardware, Vista manages it's resources better. XP has been around years and has a good driver library, but vista is more-or-less on a par now unless you have very specific needs and some sketchy peripheral.

better for what?

Performance: XP (uses less resources)
Productivity and looking-nicer-than-xp-itivity: Vista

So please narrow it down lol
and mi1ez has got it all in one, but as Vista gets older (well... up to date really) then the driver database will grow! but thats not a big problem!

Anyways... Vista wins it for me.
