Computer Upgrade

Hello, i currently have a mess of a computer ive upgraded the PS, HD, Graphics Card, Case, and added misc ram but now i want to get rid of that crappy ram (DDR2 yeah bad i know) and get a new Motherboard, Ram and Processor i want it more for gaming but not crazy good just better and at this point anything is better so my budget is about $200-$300.

Upgrade list:
Motherboard
Ram (at least 1600)
Processor (Intel or AMD)

i3 2100

Since i3 doesn't OC, H67 is the mobo for you. ASUS P8H67-M

Why go with 1600 RAM? There are barely any differences in faster frequency and better timings are what matters most. Intel doesn't recommend you to go over 1333 or 1.5v or else it will void your warranty.

Well, a Z68 motherboard would be better as it offers a more open upgrade path.

That is the first I've heard of that regarding warranties! Can you cite (e.g. give us a link) a source?
