Forum CPU & Components : Power Supplies, Cases & Mods NEED HELP URGENTLY! PSU Upgrade

Hey guys basically I really want to upgrade my computer for gaming and I really need some opinions before I finally pay. I have asked before however now I have the ability to purchase the parts ASAP.

I have a factory made Acer AM3920 E4142.

Intel i7 2600
Intel HD 2000 Graphics
Intel H67 Express Chipset
4 GB RAM
1 TB Hard Drive
Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit

The integrated graphics are really quite terrible so I am deciding to purchase an ASUS Radeon HD 6850 DirectCU 790MHZ 1GB 4.0GHZ GDDR5 2xDVI DisplayPort HDMI PCI-E Video Card.

However, I need to upgrade my PSU as the one in the computer is currently only 300 W. I have been looking around and one that has caught my eye solely based on price is a Coolermaster Extreme Power Plus 500W ATX 12V V2.3 Silent Power Supply 20/24PIN 120MM Fan.

However, would 500 W be enough? Any suggestions for any PSU within a range of 50-100 (Preferably 50-75) would be greatly appreciated.

A pretty fair deal ATM.
CORSAIR Builder Series CX600 V2 600W $70 with $20 rebate and extra $5 off.

That price after rebate on davcon's suggested OCZ ZS 550W looks like a winner.

And it's got the good review to back up that price. OCZ ZS 550W review @ JonnyGuru

You'd be silly to pass the OZC up at that price.

Actually, he'd be smart to choose the OCZ at that price.

500W would be enough for a single core card. If you are planning to go the SLI route, then you would need at least 600-700w of true rated power.

He would also need a SLI capable motherboard.
