I was thinking about changing my motherboard to LGA1155 H61 MSI H61M-P23 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6813130593 My processor to Intel® Core™ i3-2100 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6819115078 I only have 2 gb ddr2 ram and to get 2 gb more is more expensive than getting 4gb ddr3. but to do that i have to change my motherboard to newer model so as my socket.
My graphic card has 1gb gddr3 rest is on the picture.
My budget is around 200 euros not beyond that. but if you really suggest i spend more i might go beyond that point. I play a lot of games mostly new ones.
i would be thankful if you helped me out here
i5-750 2.66GHz 8MB Socket 1156 is the same price here but it has 1156 socket. i can get it for 160 euros . it might fit in. i still need the motherboard, which one do you prefer? i have gigabyte but it is overheating i asked part sellers and one told me to get assus and other msi. i will buy ram later because it is cheap
i can go for these combos
new cpu (i5) motherboard and 4gb ddr3
or
new gpu and +2 gb ddr2
i only need to know is my processor good for 2013 games if it is i will get new gpu.
which combination will make run battlefield 3? (example) because with my current config. i can run in at 10 fps
also one of the annoying things is: when i am switching between running apps game, winamp, firefox. it takes time to switch between like 10 sec or so. will more ram fix this? i read that it is because of low ram.. apps are put into pagging file/virtual ram idk.
ALSO can i put different kingston ram modules? or should i buy the same. i have 2x1000 hyperx
Personally, the 1155 socket is very affordable. And I just can't see investing money into DDR2 with the price of good DDR3 being so good. I am not a tech so take this for what it is, my opinion, but I think the old core 2 duos are reaching the end of their life for keeping up with new demanding games. Not to say it won't be alright for a bit, but I think the investment to 1155 and DDR3 will be worth your money. I had the same dilemma about 4 months ago. I was running a core2duo E6750. In all fairness, it's still a decent computer, and keeps up with most stuff, but I wanted to upgrade and couldn't see upgrading dying component types.
i found someone who would pay me 70e for my old mb cpu and ram, if i don't sell it now, later i wont get that much for it. i think my graphic card will handle games well for 5-6 months more
