absolutely no, however dualcore uses 775 socket while i3 uses 1156 socket huge difference..

Pentium Dual-Core P6100 (2 GHz, Cache 3 MB) to Core i3-380M (2.53 GHz, Cache 3 MB) would be possible.
They both use the same 988 socket, both in the Arrandale family and have the same TDP.
