So I have an old laptop (dv4275nr) with this motherboard:

Motherboard Name Hewlett-Packard Pavilion dv4000 (EH474UA#ABA)

Code :
  1. http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c00492005&lc=en&cc=us&lang=en&product=1130596&dlc=en

That Motherboard uses an old single core IntelĀ® PentiumĀ® M Processor 740, that uses the Socket M, or "H-PBGA479, PPGA478":

Code :
  1. http://ark.intel.com/products/27590/Intel-Pentium-M-Processor-740-%282M-Cache-1_73-GHz-533-MHz-FSB%29

So, my question is: Would I be able to use this dual core T7500 that appears to use socket PBGA479 & PPGA478?:

Code :
  1. http://ark.intel.com/products/29761/Intel-Core2-Duo-Processor-T7500-%284M-Cache-2_20-GHz-800-MHz-FSB%29

The best answer that I can give is to call HP. Even if the CPU can fit into the socket, the laptop's BIOS may not recognize it; which means it will not even boot up.
