Forum CPU & Components : Other Components Question about the Thermaltake Frio Overclocking Universal CPU Cooler CLP0564

Hello,

I bought one of these thermaltake frios and it is quite a beast to say the least. One of the problems i have with it though is that i cannot add the second fan to it without removed 2 sticks of RAM, because the fan would cover the slots. My question is, is it okay to use the heatsink with simply the one fan that comes pre attached? The preattached one draws air away from the cpu where as the other one that you attach onto it draws cool air to the cpu. Thanks for the assistance

Yes....this is common....you should have measured first unfortunately....

But yes you can use it with one fan...

All the best Brett :)
