Forum CPU & Components : Power Supplies, Cases & Mods Are these symptoms of a faulty PSU?

I take into consideration that I did not have these issues until I installed my latest PSU. The problem is when trying to wake my pc up from sleep, the front power light goes solid but then fades slowly to off. I then have to press the power button twice as the first time the pc seems to come on but it doesn't until the second press of the button. For the first time this morning just turning on my pc it did the same thing where the light comes on then it faded. I pressed it again then the lights came on, then went off, then came on, went off to finally turn completely on. I'm thinking its the PSU or possibly the mobo. Here are my specs.

mobo - Asus Sabertooth p67
ram - 16gb Corsair Vengeance
ssd - 128gb Samsung 830
cpu - Intel Core i7 2600k
psu - corsair enthusiast series tx750
gpu - Evga nvidia gtx 560ti

I also have two extra data internal drives and one external backup drive.

The problem with swapping out is that my old psu is not strong enough to power my system nor has the connections to connect everything. However maybe i should connect the essentials and see if it sleeps fine after that.
