I cannot understand why I am having this issue, my computer will no show a display and simply gives 5 short beeps during POST (Which I know is a CPU issue). I'm running

That would be all the relevant information I believe.
I've pondered on whether this may be a case of my BIOS needing an update, although I may be unable to do that since the only other computer I have is this laptop. I've also wondered whether the CPU is incompatible with the motherboard, despite what the ASRock website states.

I appreciate any help!
- Thanks!

Get rid of the second link.... re link it with a non-logged in link. Or you'll end up with 100000 RAMs... :)

Both the CPU and the Mobo seem compatible , but only after a BIOS update.
For which you will either need a cheap sempron or then just take it to a pc shop and make them update the BIOS for you to the latest for a few bucks.
