First your operating system doesn't get installed on your cpu it gets installed on your hard drive. Windows Vista can indeed be run easily on a computer with that CPU and a reasonable amount of ram for the system. That said you can also easily run windows 7 and many linux builds on that system, so I would strongly strongly suggest avoiding vista if you can't find a version of linux you like, and own no 64bit copies of xp or windows 7.
I want to install Windows Vista Home Premium but I was told by a computer shop that CPU only allows Windows 7 and beyond. I don't like graphic user interface of Windows 7 and prefer Vista instead. I just wanted to confirm what the computer shop said.
