Hello all, I would like to get your opinion regarding connection SPDIF connection, I have a motherboard ASUS P5P43TD PRO that have a SPDIF port, Can i hook to my amplifier home theater PIONEER VSX-416 which also have SPDIF input. And if it can hook how to set the connection and configuration? For now i just connect using normal input (THE GREEN COLOR) to my amplifier to CD port, and also my amplifier got some more option for connection like DVD/LD, DVD 5.1 and few more. But i really wanna using SPDIF input as far as i know the sound will be much better but didn't have the knowledge to set up this connection.Hope you guys can spend a little time to reply my question regarding this.

Thanks in advance.

SPDIF is far inferor to using analog, because the audio is heavily compressed. I recommend against using it whenever possible and sticking to using analog outputs.
