New Build, Which CPU Cooler?

Forum CPU & Components : Other Components New Build, Which CPU Cooler?

Word :    Username :

Hey! Ermmm, this is my first build and I have every part for my PC apart from the CPU Cooler. I am looking for a Cooler that can effectively cool my CPU, has relatively low noise, ideally costs under £30, and looks pweeety, (Yeah, I'm like that!) :D And I am seeking your advice and opinions.

If you are wondering, I am intending on overclocking, but not heavily, I have the CoolerMaster 430 Elite case and the AMD Phenom II X4 960T CPU.

I have gathered a list of the CPU Coolers I am considering;

Akasa Nero 3 Premier CPU Cooler
*** Arctic Cooling Freezer A30 AMD CPU Cooler *** (Im thinking this one)
Corsair Air Series A50 Performance CPU Cooler
XIGMATEK Thors Hammer HDT Cooler
Arctic Cooling Freezer 13 Limited Edition High Performance CPU Cooler
Coolermaster GeminII M4 CPU Cooler

Thanks, this is open to your opinions and any recomendations,
Cheers! :)

Good mobo, you can use there OC switch for a very nice OC on your CPU, rest of system is a good mid range gamer.

Cheers, I'm still feeling the Arctic Freezer A30 though, I'm just looking to see if anyone has any past experience with these, but anyway, I was wondering do you have to set up the cooler In a push/pull config. because I'm planning on getting a 120mm fan at the back of my case?

Don't get the fan posted above...not sure it's PWM (which the one that comes with the heatsink will be). Try and get another Coolermaster Blademaster fan...will cost you about £10, but the push-pull will take another 2-3 deg C off of your temps.
