PSU Dead?

Forum CPU & Components : Power Supplies, Cases & Mods PSU Dead?

So i have been having pc issues and i tested my power supply with a multimeter but when i tried shorting the wires to think that it is on nothing happened, the fan never turned on. the original issue was that my computer was randomly shutting down and now i cant get it to turn on for more then a second. All the fans would start and then immediately stop. Is my power supply dead? it is a corsair HX750 its barely a month old.

It's possible. Could also be the motherboard. But try a different power supply first.
