does anyone know if a coolermaster hyper 212+ will fit in an old chieftec dragon? It apears to fit based on the dims, but i was hoping someone would know for sure.

It should fit no problem, that case is a full tower if I recall, and it's not a slim design.

it's a mid tower actually and no not "thin"

I just was wanting a second opinion or even better hoping there was a site where it had been done.

I'm already getting good temps with stock cooling, 32C idle and 56 C full load(prime95), but for the $25 fry's has it for, I can't pass it up as long as it fits

Yup and fyi the hyper212 evo is essentially the same unit but with an improved (flattend ) heat pipe at the cpu location for better performance COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 EVO RR-212E- $34.00 .just a thought
