Okay, I have:
-Phenom II X4 3.2ghz Black edition
-650W Corsair PSU
-Radeon HD 5770
-1 HDD
-Coolermaster Hyper 212 Evo
-Crosshair V Formula MoBo
-DVD burner
-thats all the relevant stuff
**I plan on overclocking to 4.2Ghz**
I want to get a Radeon HD 6770 to crossfire with but some of my friends tell me I need a power supply that delivers more wattage.
But I personally am skeptical. I think that 650W will work fine (I may be wrong, this is why I'm asking you pros!)
Do I need a bigger power supply before I get another GPU for crossfiring?
i'm getting 450W on the calculator. I think I'm good to go without buying another power supply. I just want another video card to tide me over until i save enough for a new Intel build.
Did you include Xfire in the calculator? If so, you should be good. The AMD Xfire chart says the HD 5770 and HD 6770 will work together in Xfire, so that issue shouldn't be a problem. I was a little concerned about the 2 not being compatible.

A Corsair 650W psu can handle two 5770's no problem!

Your Corsair 650W is fine. I crossfired 6950 in a Corsair HX620. But of course I did it after I checked with the outervision power supply calculator & reviews that indicates my HX620 can handle sustained 750W.
