Ultra Lifetime Series Pro 750w Power Supply 45A on the 12V single rail 2x 6-pin, though for a single chip video card any good or should I look elsewhere GTX 260
Hi Price ? All the best Brett
A 750 Watt power supply that only delivers 72% of its capacity on the +12V rail is a poor excuse for a power supply unit. Any reputable name brand 750 Watt power supply will deliver approximately 98% or more of its capacity on its +12V rail(s). A 750 Watt power supply with a combined +12 Volt continuous current rating of 62 Amps or greater would be considered a good power supply.
so Ultra is now another brand of low-end gear, I guess it is not a long lasting model either
The Ultra LS and LSP series are Ultra's lowest end series.

What's your budget?
in time it will grow, currently weighing options the TX850 seems to be the best bang for the $
The thing is you only require a psu that will power a GTX 260. A quality 500W will do that. A good 650W is more then enough. NZXT Hale 82 650W http://ncix.com/products/index.php [...] omoid=1012
I am considering the use of a dual GPU card down the road those eat a lot of power
