No, the next line of cpu's are ivybridge which will go to about 2014. Then comes haswell. For now just overclock your 920, 920's love being overclocked.

Ok sweet TY for the Help Will just OverClock my 920.
Upgrading a core i7 920 (which will run quite happily at 4GHz) to an i7 2600k is a lot of money for a small gain in performance.
In situations where your i7 920 is not bottlenecking your performance, "small" becomes "non-existent".
Personally I'm bored with my build. i7 920 zinging along quite merrily at 4GHz. Wish there was a good enough performance reason to upgrade cos I love tinkering. But at the moment there just isn't.
There is little reason to change right now from the Intel® Core™ i7-920 to an Intel Core i7-2600 especially if you are using this for a gaming system. If I was really looking to upgrade at this time I think I would be looking at a better video card or more likely a new SSD.
i have a 920 and i will be waiting till haswell b4 i even look at another cpu. i will be upgrading the gfx sometime over the next year as i have no fears of bottlenecking for the next 2 years at least.
seriously if a 920 can handle 2 gtx 590's then its gonna be a long time b4 any single card chokes it.

The i7-920 will turbo up to almost 3GHz, but can probably be overclocked to 4GHz or close to it. At that speed and under a heavy load it will be roughly the same speed as an i7-2600k. Of course the 2600k can be overclocked an additional 33% or so.
