I like that one but its not as modular as i want it to be. and i just realized that the xfx is non-modular. so i am down to the seasonic, any other suggestions?
Yes, the seasonic or the modular corsair would be great.
The corsair kits are a good deal, quality ram at a decent price. Be careful if ordering 16 gigs tho, many 16GB kits are quad channel and you want dual channel.
I also recommend checking out Mushkin as they are an American company and have excellent products.
Fully Modular isn't as great as semi-modular. Are you never going to use the 24 pin power connector? Fully modular PSUs will not perform as good as a non/semi modular one because it's more efficient to have cables plugged in directly into the PSU.
NZXT Hale 90 750W or 850W Gold, they are Superflowers and very very good power supplies. Only hard wires are the 24pin and atx 12V 4+4. Looks sharp too, I just single sleeved mine!
I like semi modular too, but at the same time the ax850 has molex and sata and 2 pcie connectors, those are just extra connectors that i would never use.
And the fact that there is actually a 60 dollar difference which i would rather spend on other components
My power supply budget was around 120, i am already pushing it to 130.
That is basically the corsair unit. They both, are made by seasonic (i think this is true) however it is the same price after rebates for a silver rating.

Fast reply, I edited the post. Can you look at all 3?
The corsair one is actually about 60 dollars more. I am liking the xfx one and have had 2 xfx units before but was wondering if i should try something new like the thermaltake or kingwin
Want to summarize your memory rec and xfx powersupply rec so i can choose it as best answer for future searchers?
My whole case is black, will probably go for blue to color match my watercooling!
btw any significant advantage to going for the 8-9-8-24 and paying 20 extra?
Thanks for your help.
No, not on a Sandy Bridge build. All the studies show DDR3 1600 cas 9 to be the best at least as far as speed. Going over 1.5v can void your CPU warranty. Some people have actually been asked about speed as well and told going over DDR3 1333 can void the warranty. I still run mine at 1600 but you need to be aware of the fact.
Intel actually offers an extra overclockers insurance. For an extra $20-$25 you can do whatever you want with your CPU and Intel will give you one replacement no questions asked.
