Asus Xonar DX randomly stops working

Forum CPU & Components : Sound Cards Asus Xonar DX randomly stops working

Hello,

I recently installed a Xonar DX in my custom-built PC. Periodically throughout the day, the audio just stops working. What I need to do is open Control Panel, disable the Xonar DX and re-enable it and the sound comes back. I was wondering why this is happening and whether there is a permanent solution which does not involve disabling and re-enabling the device each time.

Thank you!

Odd...

First, make sure the 4-pin power connector to the soundcard is firmly in place.

Secondly, update to the latest drivers. If that fails, you can give the Xonar Unified Drivers [google is your friend] a try and see if that helps.
