Hey guys, I wanted to know if I could do a sli config with my current system.

- I5 2500K OC'd 4.8 ghz 1.38 cpu wattage.
- P8Z68-V PRO/GEN3
- Vertex 3 250gb SSD
- corsair h100
- hcg 750w
- evga gtx 560ti FTW

I want to add another 560 ti FTW into my system, not planning to oc. Will my psu be able to handle it?

Please let me know what you think, thanks!

Antec high current gamer psu's are pretty good, you should be able to sli them. I am sure it has enough amperage to power both 448's.

For a system using two GeForce GTX 560 Ti 448 Cores Limited Edition graphics cards in 2-way SLI mode NVIDIA specifies a minimum of a 750 Watt or greater power supply that has a combined +12 Volt continuous current rating of 60 Amps or greater and that has at least four 6-pin PCI Express supplementary power connectors.

Your Antec High Current Gamer Series 750W (HCG-750), with its combined +12 Volt continuous current rating of 62.5 Amps and with its four (6+2)-pin PCI Express supplementary power connectors, meets the minimum power supply requirements and should be sufficient. Just don't go overboard on the overclocking of the CPU and GPUs.

I do not overclock GPU's. I figure they run hot enough anyway.

Overclocking an i5-K will increase the power drawn by the CPU by about 20 - 25 watts (2 amps @ 12 volts).

i5-2500K power consumption from the +12 Volt rails @ 100% CPU load :
@ 5.0 GHz 224 Watts (18.67 Amps)
@ 4.7 GHz 134.9 Watts (11.2 Amps)
@ 4.3 GHz 99.7 Watts ( 8.3 Amps)
@ 3.3 GHz 75 Watts ( 6.25 Amps) <--- Reference Clock

The OPs overclock to 4.8 GHz is going to increase the power consumption by more than 70 Watts over the stock reference clock.

It's still useless because it doesn't show the combined +12 Volt continuous current rating required on the power supply.

Total Power Supply Wattage is NOT a crucial factor in power supply selection!!! Total Continuous Amperage Available on the +12V Rail(s) is the most important.

The Recommended PSU Wattage shown by that calculator just gives you a general idea on what to look for.

agreed, but i still find single 12 volt rail psu's. It helps to see the total draw. :)

I'm not planning to oc anything else or anymore on my cpu. Pretty happy with what i have now. I want the sli just for the sheer power and for playing upcoming mmo's and a fps here or there.

I ran 2 x GTX560's on an Antec Truepower for a while. Worked just fine. I overclocked them to their breaking point, and never had a problem. I wouldn't try it with some second rate crap PSU though. if your going with a 750, get the Antec.

Done and done. Hehe. I already have the hcg-750. All i need to buy is the ftw 560 ti 448 core before they all run out. I hope it'll still be available by the end of March. I'm keeping a good eye on the stock from my local store.
