Forum Forum Feedback : Test Posts I cannot sign in

Word :    Username :

The page just hangs..

I also get an error on the bottom left of the notification area "done, but with errors on page"...

Line: 2
Char: 7
Error: invalid character
Code: 0
URL: http://tomshardware.com/

**(with anything after http://tomshardware.com/ seems)** including the login pop-up.. but I was able to register, and I got the notification e-mail and replied to it- but then I could not sign in. The error could be a coincidence too, it happens on some other websites for as long as I can remember on all the PCs I have ever used. I did hold down ctrl while clicking the "submit" button too. I also allowed pop-ups, etc..

I also noticed the website graphics are a little messed up in some ways- the "Submit button" with the green check on the left inside a little white box has a plain text "Submit Query" (w/o quotes) written over the top of it. I doubt that has anything to do with it either but who knows. Any ideas? I just hope I can even post this post successfully somehow. Sheesh.. If I cannot anon this post I guess I will e-mail it to an admin.

Win XP home SP2
IE7
everything all updated
no viruses or malware or worms or trojans or anything of that sort.

No this is not a joke.. 4/1/09 Thanks if you have any helpful suggestions..

TEST-

I am signed in under "anonBWX" that I made up while trying to post this..

My real profile is just "BWX" it would not let me use that as someone else (ME) is using it.. I also gave my email address with an "anon" in it so that I didn't have to create an entire email account just to get this sorted.

Hopefully this "anonBWX" will just get deleted after I get me real profile to work, and be able to sign in under it. I bet if I close this page and open it again. I will not be able to log on under this profile either. Same as my real profile.

I could only post because I created a temp profile after hitting the submit button- that seems to work, but I cannot login to the site. Weird.

TEST-

I am logging off now- so I'll probably answer as a different profile name if anyone has any ideas that I need to reply to.

I have never has this much trouble with pop-up login boxes. Very strange.

Now it works for some reason- but I was still getting that pop-up saying I had an e-mail sent to me, 48 hours, etc.. Hopefully that will go away.

Anyway... "anonBWX" profile can be deleted.
(NOT THIS ONE!)

Thanks.

Hi,

So I guess there was some bug that got fixed? Let me know what's going on with the 48-hour thing now.
