Hey anyone know the if performance of 4 5160's would out perform an i5-2500k or an i7-2600k? I was planning on getting older servers and put them together for a potential 3d rendering farm. Server I am planning to get: http://www.weirdstuff.com/cgi-bin/item/384902 :ange:

xeon is for servers. For other heavy duty stuffs is 2600k

I beleive the 5160's, running 2c/2t each, total 8c/8t would outperform the i7's 4c/8t.

This assuming you are using 2 dual processor servers or 4 single processor servers since you can't have have a 4 way with 5160's.
