Hello,
i have this old laptop that i want to upgrade not really sure what year it was made .

it's a acer travelmate 2420 .

i want to know if this intel core 2 duo 1.8 Ghz will work on it.

the socket of this laptop is 479mpga - mobo is acer garda 910.

any websites that can help me figure this out

the intel core 2 duo is a t7100

The Travelmate 2420 is from roughly 2005 and uses single-core Pentium M and Celeron CPUs in Socket 479. No Core Duo or Core 2 Duo CPU will work in that laptop. Your best bet is one of the Pentium M Dothans.
