Hello everyone!

I was thinking about re-using the wireless adapter in my current PC and adding it to my new build. Am I able to do that or is there some sort of restriction due to current soft-/hardware (drivers?)?

Thanks!

you can use it as long as a driver is available

that may not be the case if for example your new pc has a newer operating system or you go from 32bit to 64bit

I'll be going from Vista 64 to Windows 7 64. I figured it'd be easier to use something I already have and know it works. Newer still sells it for like $70. It came in my desktop I bought from HP roughly 3 years ago.

yes should be ok then--a lot of vista drivers work for 7 if they dont have a 7 driver

What is the make/model? We can help you find drivers for it.

I can't find drivers for it on HP's site. The first review on NewEgg says "Installed it and windows 7 recognized right away. Did not have to install the drivers that came with the card.". You can always try it and see.
