How to connect 3 antenna?

Forum CPU & Components : NICs How to connect 3 antenna?

My Intel WiFi Link 5300 has 3 antenna connectors. My motherboard backplane is set up for a single antenna. I like 3 more than 1. What are my options to connect 3 antenna?

Forget it, you will need to solder bits and bobs, better for you to purchase a more powerful single antenna.

Like every other WiFi adapter I have seen, the 5300 uses industry standard press on connectors to attach whatever brand antenna you want and they can be used over and over again. I believe that solder would trash the connector functionality apart from the likelihood that the heat related damage to transistors may trash the adapter. While a drill bit is likely the answer, I sure wish some greedy capitalist pig would market a device to route the preferred three antenna through the preexisting hole that is present on basically every motherboard that supports the mini pci-e card specification. Presumably the folks who designed the card and went with 3 connectors did so with a reason and conversion to a single antenna would abandon whatever performance benefits were engineered into the adapter.
