Forum Graphic & Displays : TV Tuner Cards PC to TV - only displaying desktop background

Hello. I just bought a PC to TV converter. It connects using S-Vid, VGA and the USB for power. I have it all plugged in correctly and it works fine on a friends laptop. On mine though I can only get the TV to display the desktop background, not even the cursor. I have been playing around with screen resolution to no avail and in the display settings there is that little box that asks me to "Extend My Windows Desktop onto this monitor" I have it checked on the 2nd monitor and when I uncheck it I get black screen obviously. I have Windows XP. Let me know if you need any more info. Thanks!

In extended mode your TV is an addition to your desktop. Drag open windows box to the left or right and it will show up on the TV. To get the same image as PC monitor, you need to set it as duplicate, or clone, mode.

Thanks from me too, I've been trying to find an answer to the same problem for weeks, it worked for me too.

Thank you. :D
