Hello, Friends i'm new to this forum i'm from india...

i'm stuck in choosing a psu for my new build can you help me in finding a best psu?

I have the following psu's in mind

Seasonic ss500es

Corsair cx500

Fsp Saga II 500w

so this are in my budget range so which one is the best?

get Builder Series™ CX500 V2 — 80 PLUS

The Seasonic SS-500ES (OEM) uses 105°C rated Japanese capacitors and is 80 PLUS BRONZE certified.

The Corsair Builder Series CX500 (CMPSU-500CX) made by CWT (Channel Well Technology) uses cheaper 85°C rated Taiwanese capacitors.

The FSP Saga II 500W uses cheaper 85°C rated Taiwanese capacitors.

Yep. If the Seasonic is within your budget, get it. I'd put the Corsair second and the FSP last.

CX Builder series is junk.

Get the seasonic.

It's a budget Corsair model made by CWT with cheap 105°C rated Taiwanese Samxon capacitor on the primary side and a mix of Japanese Chemi-Con and Taiwanese Teapo capacitors on the secondary side.

The Seasonic is still higher quality than the Corsair Gaming Series "GS" CMPSU-600G.

In the world of PSU's, always go for anything seasonic if its priced reasonably. Next up would be the corsair / antec / xfx and other higher models.

 

I'd go Seasonic then corsair and then FSP.

 

Cheaper taiwanese caps does not mean its crappy. Its just cheaper than high quality japanese caps.

Can the seasonic model power something like an ati 5770 or 5850 (which i tend to add later) i'm not an overclocking fan...

I would recommend staying away from the Cooler Master GX Series RS-550-ACAA-E3 because that particular Seventeam design generates high electrical noise and ripple. Cooler Master is in the process of replacing the Seventeam made GX Series models with Enhance Electronics models in an attempt to improve the quality of that series.

The Corsair Enthusiast Series CMPSU-550VX has recently been discontinued but there is stock still in the distribution channel being cleared out. The quality is apparent in the use of 105°C Japanese Nippon Chemi-Con capacitors on both the primary and secondary circuits. You can read the following test review of this power supply here :

So even the corsair vx550 is to be an avoid or is it better than the seasonic?

It should be very similar to the Seasonic quality-wise.

Corsair's Enthusiast Series VX & TX is one of their better quality series. The two VX models have been discontinued.

Anything seasonic is the thing to get IF its priced nicely. (such as a few more dollars than another model from corsair etc).

Corsair AX , TX , HX , VX is also very high quality units made by seasonic/cwt as oem.

For the Corsair VX models, when I said "The two VX models have been discontinued.", I meant to say that they were recently discontinued so there is still stock in the distribution channel that is being cleared out.

The Seasonic S12 II Bronze Series seems to be the retail versions of the SS-xxxES (OEM) series and SS-xxxET (OEM) series.

The Seasonic PSU's are best in the business. So i would always say go for them.

@ubercake: OP mentioned India. So i am pretty sure it would be a store. Online shopping is still something many people don't use as the first option here. :)

techshop.in is a bit overprices for me. But their packaging and delivery times are great. Ditch ebay.in. That is a load of nonsense.

Deltapage is the best option for you then. The shipping charges would be low. When your first choice is Seasonic then the Gigabyte is an amazing drop in quality. Stick to Seasonic or Corsair VX550W (i don't know if this is available).

If you mean the 500W Seasonic to the 520W/620W Seasonic, then yes. They are all of the same series.
