I finished a new build with an Asus P8Z68-V PRO/GEN3 LGA 1155 Z68 ATX Motherboard & COOLER MASTER HAF 922. The haf 922 comes with a front fan rated for 700 RPMs which I currently have plugged into the motherboards cha_fan2 slot.
When I enter the bios I see a red bar for cha_fan2 in a way that makes it looks like it is maxed out. It also displays that the fan runs around 440 RPMs.
I have 3 other fans plugged into the motherboard (1 cpu fan, 1 top & 1 back fan from haf 922 case). All three of which are running around 700 RPMs.
I understand there's an option in the BIOS to modify the low RPM alert which eliminates the red bar from cha_fan2. However, my concern is with the low RPMs. Is this even a bad thing? What should I do?
Thank you in advance.
Cliff Notes:
- 700 RPM fan connected to cha_fan2 motherboard port
- Fan runs at around 440 RPMs.
- Is this bad? What should I do?
