I'm going to upgrade my (relatively) old desktop, currently using Phenom II X4 925 and a Radeon HD 5770.
It seems silly to go with anything other than Sandy Bridge, and since I can't be bothered with over clocking, the i5 2400 looks pretty nice.
I was just wondering which motherboard would go with it?
I pretty much want the cheapest solution available with support for one of the upcoming GPUs from nVidia/AMD as well as the existing 8 GB of RAM in my current mobo.
I've got 4 x 2GB sticks of RAM, although I don't recall the specs one pair, i suppose any motherboard which supports these ones, would also support the unknown pair:
Kingston 4GB DDR3 1600MHz (2x2) HyperX
4 GB : 2 x 2 GB, DIMM 240-pin, DDR3, 1600 MHz / PC3-12800, CL9, 1.7, 1.9 V, unbuffered, non-parity
Model: KHX1600C9D3K2/4G

On a (slightly) unrelated topic, is there any chance SNB will drop significantly in price after IB is released?
