Setting up Raid when OS is on SSD - Z68 Mobo i5 2500k

Forum Motherboards & Memory : Chipsets & Bios Setting up Raid when OS is on SSD - Z68 Mobo i5 2500k

I just build my first intel build, with the i5 2500k on a Gigabyte z68 board. Everything worked great, loaded OS and all my programs, loving the new build. This morning I decided to try making a RAID0 with two extra 500GB Samsung HDDs I have. So I set, in my Bios, the controller to raid. then, by hitting Ctrl-I, set up the raid on the 2 HD's leaving the OS SSD, and the other HD I installed most of my programs on. Now I get a BSOD every time it starts loading into Windows. It shows all the harddrives configured the right way, with the SSD being non raid. but still being controlled by a RAID controller.

What am I missing here? I will go set the bios back to AHCI, and see if it will boot back into the OS, just cuz im curious whats happening.

Anyone have any thoughts for me?

Hey.

Enable RAID Mode after Installation

Instruction:

Exit all Windows-based programs.
Press [Win] + R or take the RUN option from the start menu.
Now type regedit there and press Enter Key to open up the Registry Editor Window.
If you receive the User Account Control dialog box, click Continue.
Locate and then click the following registry subkey:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Servic es\iaStorV
vel

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Servic es\iaStor
In the right pane, right-click Start in the Name column, and then click Modify.
In the Value data box, type 0 [3 is default], and then click OK.
On the File menu, click Exit to close Registry Editor.
Restart your computer
Go to BIOS and enable RAID, Save & Reboot
Another restart will be required to finish the driver installation.
