MSI 970A-G45 Ethernet adapter problem

Forum Motherboards & Memory : Motherboards MSI 970A-G45 Ethernet adapter problem

After my computer had been on for no longer than 30 minutes, it immediately shut off, and I had to unplug and plug in the power supply cord for it to turn on again. The OS booted fine, everything was working, except for the ethernet. It says that the adapter is enabled and running, but i'm not getting any internet connection (I know that the router is functioning properly). I also noticed that the green and orange lights that glow where the ethernet plug is are not on. I don't know if it broke, or the OS just won't recognize it. Please help.

Specs:
MSI 970A-G45
AMD FX-6100
4GB DDR3 1333Mhz
450W PSU
320GB 5400RPM Caviar Blue
