Hey everyone!
when shopping for a new system, I noticed all the motherboards using the 990fx chipset run at 5200 MT. however, the chipset can run at up to 6400 MT. is that just an overclocking option? or are there no atx motherboards that support that kind of speed?

Usually when you see an up to designation that does mean some overclocking since when the cpu is overclocked the MT would also go higher and the motherboard would have to support it.

so, if I overclock the cpu to, say, 4.0 ghz from 3.6 ghz, the HT speed would also raise 400 MHz?
