The Corsair kit is slightly more expensive than some other good kits, but Corsair is among the best brands and it's only a few dollars. The only other memory brand I'd put in Corsair's league is G.Skill.

I see your existing memory is 1.65 volt memory. That is likely where your incompatibility lies. Have you tries upping the ram voltage in your bios to 1.65 volts? That might solve any problems you are having.

With the Sandy Bridge cpu you want to have ram that is 1.5v and any higher will damage the memory controller on the cpu. These choices will give you a few different colors to choose from.

Sandy Bridge doesn't need to have 1.5v, it can run 1.65, but I'd recommend 1.5 anyway. It will probably last longer with 1.5v and there is a lower chance of incompatibility.

Anything over 1.5v will void the CPU warranty.

Corsair have almost 100% compatibility with all motherboards. Asus have some compatibility problems with some RAM brands, even with G.Skill.

First, see section 3.2 of your user manual. It explains all of the BIOS options.

You will need to go into the Advanced mode of the BIOS menu. Look at section 3.4 of the manual (A.I. Tweaker menu). It shows where to adjust the memory voltage.
