[Solved] ASRock ASMedia ASM1061 SATA3 Controller and SSD

I have an ASRock H61M/U3S3 MB with an ASMedia ASM1061 SATA III Controller, combined

with a WD SATA III HDD and it works real fine,(just not real fast) I guess because of my spinning

storage device. I am thinking about getting a SSD and use with this controller, and wanted to know

if anyone is using this controller with a SSD, and if so, are you getting good results? The numbers I

am getting from my spinner in CrystalDiskMark are as follows:

Hi, let me know how this goes... I've been trying to get my Corsair Force GT to be recognized by the bios and having a hard time at it.

I think its down to the disk controller at this point... I will be working through a few configurations and see what is going on. Windows 8 Dev Preview was able to recognize the drive but not the bios (for a clean install). Win 8 install told me it wasn't a bootable device (and it was not showing in bios).

Finally got Win 8 installed on an older 10k RPM drive I had lying around and found that Win 8 was able to see the drive (still not present in bios, this install was done on SATA/ACHI), I formatted it and change some bios settings (keeping ACHI on) and the drive is no where to be see in bios or OS now.

Really frustrating.

I've tried using both the Intel SATA ports as the Asmedia SATA ports to no avail.
