im building a new rig, with an Intel i5 2500k. 8gb ddr3, 500gb HDD, 430w PSU, and a NZXT Phantom 410 case. i'll probably upgrade to a dedicated GPU, a SSD, & 16gb ram later on.
my question is about the motherboard; i've heard that the z68 chipset will be compatible with Ivy Bridge, but im not quite sure what i need. id like an Asus board; what would you recommend? just something with PCI 3.0? id like the option to upgrade to Ivy in about 6 months
what i need in a mobo;
6gb/s connectors
sata3
USB 3.0
2 PCI slots
and a couple of PCIe (is the only difference between sandy brudge and ivy bridge the PCI 3 support?)
looking to spend under $125
thanks

Sorry I'm not sure what the whole Gen3 thing stands for since I'm pretty new as well, but I do know that there is a Mobo with your specs (idk about the Ivy Bridge).
