Hi there.

I´m running a GA-P55M-UD2 motherboard with a 860 i7, 8 gigs of DDR3 and a GTX 470 graphics card. When I´m running demanding games like BF3 (high seeting) and Crysis 2 (extreme setting) EVGA precision says my GFX card i using 99% of the GPU - I´ve tried overclocking my CPU from the stock 2.8 GHZ to 3.8 max but with no difference in FPS, while overclocking the GFX gives me a few extra FPS. My question then is "would I benefit from a newer motherboard"?

On an related topic. My PC keeps crashing when I´m checking my mail and giving me a colourful pattern on my Windows startup screen and then beeing unable to load windows. When I start it again it works fine. Is there any way to know if I damaged my CPU or motherboard when I overclocked it?

470 isnt a bad card still, however its 2 years+ old. Cant expect to play with all the eye candy on. Lower your settings a bit. And those kinds of issues sounds like maybe your vid card is going bad, corrupted memory maybe, hard to tell with little info.
