Hey all, I am currently looking to upgrade the amount of ram in my computer and want to make sure that the ram will work together.

I currently have two sticks of this is my computer

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6cl9-2gbns

I bought it as a 4gb kit though

I have two more ram slots and was wondering if this ram would work with the ram above

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6820231311

I was reading up that as long as the timings and everything were the same I would be fine, but then I saw 2N at the end of the timing for the ripjaw

What would be the reason for the upgrade of the amount of ram in your computer? What did you mean by the fact that you bought it as a 4gb kit , the link that you posted shows a 2gb kit.

G.SKILL NS 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 (PC3 10600) Desktop Memory Model F3-10600CL9D-4GBNS
$22.99

This would be a better match and is this the kit that you had purchased.

I bought a 4gb kit but the part number in CPU-Z shows the part number as F3-10666CL9-2GBNS and when I look up it on newegg it shows the ram in the original post. I want to upgrade my ram because BF3 maps load really slow with 4GB of ram and I also have trouble alt tabbing out of BF3

Adding memory wont change that. Most likely you have a slow mechanical HD and probably a less powerful vid card. What are your system specs.

Spinpoint F3 7200 RPM
6850
X4 955

I run BF3 on medium at a constant 60 FPS.

You will not get any benefit from adding 8gb of ram you would only need to add 4gb because the game will not use more then that.
You can try overclocking the cpu a bit and also the video card. Adding a second video card will help and by adding a SSD for the OS will help in loading maps but not in actual game play.
At this point your best option would be to get a SSD and load your OS on it but if you can't afford it then try adding just the 4gb of ram or overclocking your cpu.

The memory should work together without any problems. It is always a good idea to test the memory when you add new sticks with memtest86 4.0a.
